The African National Congress is starting its “dispute resolution process” in a bid to address the a.
What is going on in this country? How could the police and the public allow a few drunkards to do what they did to those innocent women at the Noord Street taxi rank?
This barbaric behaviour has been perpetrated by some taxi-driving animals at Noord Street for too long. They give all taxi drivers a bad name because the nation will blame all of them.
One day a brother, husband or boyfriend will retaliate in a deadly manner by shooting someone. I will never allow my sister, wife or mother to be abused and will react in a very harsh way. Leaders of the taxi industry and respectable taxi drivers must intervene before it's too late. If taxi violence erupts, it will be difficult for the police to identify the real cause of the violence.
Will those taxi drivers act in this way in KwaZulu-Natal where traditional women walk around with bare breasts? I doubt it.
Although I acknowledge that there are respectable and well-mannered taxi drivers, I blame all those who act as spectators while their colleagues misbehave. I judge them as "animals of the same kraal".
All stakeholders in the industry and the public should condemn this barbaric behaviour and the police must take action.
