Lamontville Golden Arrows are eager to inflict more pain on Moroka Swallows in an Absa Premiership match at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi tomorrow.

The once high-flying Dube Birds have been unimpressive in their two opening matches of the second round.

The out of sorts Swallows were handed a 3-0 drubbing by Orlando Pirates in the first game and went on to suffer a more humiliating 4-1 defeat by Santos in a midweek game.

It came as no surprise when some angry Swallows supporters hurled unprintable words at the technical staff and management after the two losses.

The continuous generosity of Swallows in terms of donating points does not do their hopes of challenging for the championship title any good.

"I thought we were more organised against Santos, as compared to the game against Pirates. We were just unlucky not to get more goals," said Ian Gorowa, Birds' coach.

"We are going all out for a win in Durban, though it won't be easy because Arrows will be playing in their own back- yard."

Zwelethu Mzolo, Arrows' publicist, whose side is still to lose a game in the second round, said they will not be fooled by Swallows' two successive defeats.

"We don't even want to look at their performance. Yes, they are not flying high, but we expect them to come down on us like a ton of bricks," Mzolo said.

"The plan is to keep our unbeaten run in the second round in order to help us realise our mission of finishing in the top five bracket on the log."

Arrows started the second round with a bang when they defeated Platinum Stars 2-0, before playing to a 2-all draw with Free State Stars and pipping AmaZulu 1-0.

The spotlight will be on the skilful Kagiso Senamela of Arrows, and top goal-scorer James Chamanga of Swallows in this 3:30pm duel.

In Bloemfontein on Sunday, Bloemfontein Celtic welcome AmaZulu at Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in Mangaung.

What makes this match interesting is that the two sides are under tremendous pressure after losing their midweek matches.

Celtic were defeated 1-0 by neighbours Ea Lla Koto in QwaQwa, while AmaZulu suffered a similar loss to Arrows.

The game starts at 3:30pm.
