The Spice Girls have quashed reports that they will never reunite again by offering to perform for former president Nelson Mandela.
The UK girl group are nearing the end of their three-month world tour and recently confessed it could be the last time they would share a stage.
But the band have reconsidered their options and are hoping they would be asked to perform for Mandela at his 90th birthday celebrations in June at London's Hyde Park.
Melanie Chisholm says: "We're great friends of Mandela and we would love to perform for him again."
Geri Halliwell adds: "We were privileged to meet the man and he is just amazing.
"He's an example of strength and humility and if we could be part of celebrating his life - wow."
