A disabled Limpopo man claims that two young girls blackmailed him into showing them his penis after they had exposed their breasts to him on Tuesday.

Thomas Maluleke, 34, of Xihosana village near Malamulele, told Sowetan that the 14-year-old girls threatened to call the police and claim that he had attempted to rape them if he did not show "it" to them.

"I was really trapped and very afraid that I could find myself behind bars for doing nothing wrong. So I unzipped my trousers and showed them my manhood," said Maluleke.

He said that after he had exposed himself to the girls they ridiculed him, saying he was not man enough because he had not been circumcised.

Maluleke claimed the girls then told him they were going to fetch condoms. They said that because of his uncircumcised penis, he would make them sick if they slept with him.

"As soon as they left I immediately informed my relatives about the whole matter. When the girls returned, my mother and other relatives were present," said Maluleke.

His mother, Lizzie Baloyi, confirmed the incident and said she went to the local induna, Judas Chauke, to report the matter.

When they could not find Chauke, Baloyi reported the matter at the Malamulele satellite police station and officers accompanied her and her son to the girls' school on Wednesday.

Police told her the girls were too young and the matter would be better resolved at their school than in court, she said.

The school principal, Mgwambani Baloyi, refused to comment, saying the incident did not take place at the school.

Limpopo education spokesman Ndo Mangala said: "If it's true that an incident of this nature has happened, we strongly condemn it.

"Parents and teachers should teach these children good morals so that they learn to behave."

Malamulele police spokesman Magezi Mapindani said the matter was being handled by the girls' school.
