It was too early to start pointing fingers at who was to blame for the electricity crisis, Public Protector Lawrence Mushwana said yesterday.
He said his office would make a decision on whether a full and further investigation was needed.
"What is perhaps of critical importance is to make an informed assessment of the adequacy of the steps being taken to deal with the problem while permanent solutions are being sought."
He said his office had received detailed information from Eskom and was busy working through it.
"We will watch with interest the implementation of activities aimed at solving electricity problems and if anything untoward emerges, we will not hesitate to intervene," Mushwana said.- Sapa
