The ANCYL's OR Tambo regional chairman Mpendulo Stoyile confirmed that the league's Eastern Cape provincial coordinator, Thabo Matiwane, and Mziwonke Ndabeni, the league's secretary , have been suspended for going against the league's position to back Jacob Zuma as ANC president in Limpopo.
Another member ousted is Lindile Mhlope, the league's Amathole regional coordinator.
This has been seen as a purge of Thabo Mbeki's supporters.
