The International Media Forum South Africa (IMFSA) will hold a second conference in Bryanston, Johannesburg, on May 21 and 22 where they will also discuss 2010 World Cup issues affecting journalists.
The IMFSA is a body of some of the most respected global editors, who have teamed up with African media bosses and communicators. They debate various issues with the emphasis on challenges affecting the media.
The first conference took place in Sandton in 2006 with about 1000 people attending. There were delegates from Al-Jazeera International, BBC, CNN, Sky News, Reuters Africa, Time Magazine and the Wall Street Journal.
Mike de Vries, who was the man behind the promotion of the successful 2006 World Cup finals in Germany, will be one of the speakers. Others will be from some of the leading media houses in the world.
Representatives of the government's communications department will also attend.
