Wedding bells are ringing for Shwi - of the famous duo, Shwi Nomtekhala.
Shwi, 37, whose real name is Mandlendoda Ntombela, will tie the knot with Khonzeni Ncube, 29, on March 28. The wedding ceremony will take place at their home in uMsinga, KwaZulu- Natal.
The maskandi singer told Sowetan yesterday that he had paid ilobolo of eleven cows.
"My culture does not permit me to reveal much at this stage, suffice to say I will be marrying my beautiful wife on March 28 in uMsinga. It will be a very special day for us," Shwi said.
The singer said he was excited to finally take the big step. The happy couple already have two children.
"Marriage is a big step in anybody's life. I will not forget our fans. Because of their support I was able to pay ilobolo," he said.
The group's album, Wangisiza Baba, released in 2004, has sold more than 600000 copies.
The talented duo has also won three South African Music Awards and two South Traditional Music Awards in the past three years.
