All people, including Christians and politicians, must acknowledge that we are all sinners.

The Reverend Thembinkosi Zefried Mkhize of the Lutheran Church in Southern Africa told hundreds of congregants in Daveyton yesterday.

Mkhize said Christians must therefore agree that Jesus came to the world to save all sinners, irrespective of their status.

"This statement can be trusted and deserves complete acceptance. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

"The reason Jesus Christ came to this world was to save all sinners. He came to save everybody, as long as they confessed that they are sinners, repented and received forgiveness for their sins.

"This message does not exclude politicians or religious leaders," Mkhize added.
