The ordination of Pastor Lucky Petros Kubheka as second minister of Christ The Rock Church in Daveyton was a fulfilment of a dream he made years ago to serve God.

Kubheka, 40, a BA Theology student from the Oasis of Life Family Church Bible College, was a paragon of humanity, simplicity and a spiritual leader when he was ordained by Pastor Nkwane Nyamane before a capacity audience at the Marivate Youth Centre.

In his acceptance speech, Kubheka, who was supported by members of his family from Pretoria, acknowledged that he was intimidated by his new position.

"Just a few days ago some members of the church were still referring to me as Bra Lucky, something I have grown used to. But a few minutes ago, some elders were finding it very hard to call me Pastor," he joked.

Nyamane described Kubheka's ordination as a marriage between him and God.

"When God called Kubheka to serve Him, Kubheka responded immediately. He is a true servant of God and we shall be working together to bring more people to the Lord," said Nyamane.
