A 19-year old Limpopo man is on the run after allegedly killing his 15-year-old wife.
Last Thursday night the man allegedly stabbed and strangled Sharon Mukhabukhi.
They had lived together at Mopje village near Relelai in the greater Tzaneen municipal area.
Mukhabukhi was a Grade 4 pupil at Thlapedi Primary School in the village.
Police have confirmed the incident.
People from the village told Sowetan that the young husband had allegedly accused his wife of being HIV-positive.
"He said in a letter he left behind that Mukhabukhi had infected him with the HI virus and that he was going to die," said one of the villagers who asked Sowetan not to identify him.
