The wheel of prosperity has turned in favour of local boxing -- thanks to the business acumen of Bongani "Mr Fix-It" Khumalo.

Hardly eight months since this wheelchair-bound Chief Executive Officer took the hot seat at Boxing SA in June last year - already a whopping R10,5 million has been deposited in the account of BSA.

Khumalo and his opposite number at Tourist Choice Mike Motloung exchanged vows yesterday and announced a three-year marriage.

"This launch is only the milestone but it also attests to the fact that BSA is maturing and it's fulfilling its mandate to regulate, control and supervise professional boxing in the country," said Khumalo.

"We are immensely pleased that Tourist Choice has agreed to sponsor boxing at the time when we are grappling with tactics and strategies to ensure that boxing reclaims its rightful place with the sporting fraternity."

The black-owned company, which also bought a brand new luxury micro bus for BSA has been granted the naming rights for national belts. They have been known as BSA belts since Old Buck withdrew in 2005 but will now be called Tourist Choice belts.

"Our partnershipuis not only mutual but is also having a rippling effect in terms of taking boxing to the next level," added Khumalo.

"Our annual awards and the convention will be held in Bloemfontein from February 15 to 17."
