The year has pitched off on a high note for Softball Gauteng North.
SGN chairman Andre Wessels said this is a sign that they are serious about challenging for the national championships in April. The provincial men's team won the first major tournament of the year last week, the Gordon Mink Tournament held in Kempton Park. The competition also included Eastern Gauteng, Central Gauteng, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal.
Wessels' side used the tournament to also choose teams for the championships.
