Smart Young Mindz continues with the 2010 Soccer World Cup as a central theme of this popular Gauteng high schools challenge.

The challenge seeks to increase youngsters' interest in mathematics, physical science, technology, strategy and innovation by encouraging participating pupils in grades 8, 9 and 10 to find solutions to social, economic and infrastructure problems facing their communities.

For this year's Smart Young Mindz Challenge, youths have to research and innovate solutions that will ease South Africa's marketing, tourism and communications challenges pertaining to the 2010 Soccer World Cup; as well as related environmental affairs, and those linked to justice and constitutional development.
