JP Duminy's unbeaten 79 steered South Africa to a six-wicket win over West Indies in the opening one-day match at Centurion yesterday.

Seamer Shaun Pollock earlier led South Africa's efficient bowling performance when he took 1-19 from seven overs as West Indies, who were put into bat in a match reduced to 36 overs a side by rain, were dismissed for 175 with a ball remaining in their innings.

Darren Sammy scored 51, his maiden one-day half-century, off 51 balls. - Reuters
