Barely three months after joining Premier League of Swaziland side Umbelebele Jomo Cosmos, Sanele Gasa has allegedly been fired for a lack of discipline.

Gasa, 21, defender Rofhiwo Tshikovhi, 19, and goalkeeper Alain Rebelo, 18, joined Umbelebele last October on loan from PSL side Jomo Cosmos.

Ronnie Moroka, Umbelebele technical advisor, confirmed that the player has returned to South Africa.

He denied that the player was fired.

"The boy [Gasa] had returned because of family problems and as we speak he is at his home in Hammarsdale. He is still a Cosmos player as he has not come to collect his clearance," said Moroka, who is based in South Africa with the players and escorts them on weekends to attend games in Swaziland.

But media reports in Swaziland quoted Umbelebele director Velaphi Dhlamini as saying Gasa was fired for defying orders from the technical staff.

Gasa made a dream start in Swaziland when he scored on his debut, a 2-1 loss to reigning champions Royal Leopards.

Both Tshikovhi and Rebelo will continue playing for Umbelebele. Gasa could not be reached for comment.
