A number of South African soccer administrators have been roped in by the Confederation of African Football to ensure the smooth running of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The group is led by the South African Football Association president, Molefi Oliphant, who is in Ghana as the vice president of CAF.

Oliphant has been appointed the venue general manager of the Accra venue, with Safa executive committee member David Nhlabathi as his assistant coordinator.

The four countries in Group A who will be based in Accra are the hosts Ghana, Namibia, Guinea and Morocco.

Two other South African leaders will be in charge in Kumasi where Dennis Mumble is the general manager of Group C.

Kirsten Nematendani is the assistant coordinator in this venue where Zambia, Cameroon, Egypt and Sudan will battle it out for honours.

"We are delighted to be here. In fact there will be more South Africans coming here to work for CAF and serve as observers," said Nematendani.

"Those of us who are at the venues will ensure that the best facilities are delivered to the teams and that the rules and regulations are observed.

"We will also be running venue offices for the day-to-day affairs of the tournament. Other things include providing accommodation and training venues schedules."

Fifa president Sepp Blatter is also in Ghana.
