The Federation of International Football Associations (Fifa) has once again shown confidence in South African soccer administrators with an invitation to Jomo Sono to attend the next Club Task Force meeting next month.

The Fifa Club Task Force meeting will be held at the world football governing body headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, on February 7.

In a communique to the Jomo Cosmos chairman and coach, Jerome Valcke, Fifa's general secretary says: "We are pleased to invite you to attend the next meeting of the Fifa Club Task Force in the home of Fifa at 9am on February 7.

"The agenda of the meeting will be sent to you in due time."

Among those invited are football heavyweights and bosses of the world's top clubs including Ramon Calderon (Real Madrid), Joan Laporta (FC Barcelona), Peter Kenyon (Chelsea), Adriano Galliani (AC Milan), Hassan Hamdy (Al Ahly) and Guillermo Canedo (Club America).

Sono told Sowetan yesterday that he felt honoured to be once again recognised by Fifa through this invitation.

"It is a great honour for me and the country that Fifa has once again shown faith and confidence in local administrators.

"It shows that we have a contribution to make to the beautiful game. We are making inroads onto the world stage as far as football governance is concerned and our efforts are bearing fruit through such invitations to serve on important football committees," Sono said.

Ezenkosi started training yesterday after the festive season break and are due to feature in a four-team tournament in Botswana on Janury 25 and 26. The event also features Moroka Swallows and two Botswana teams, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Extension Gunners.
