Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira will use the two friendlies against Mozambique and Botswana to try various combinations for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The spirited South Africans take on the Black Mambas on Sunday and the Zebras of Botswana on Wednesday. Both games take place in Chatsworth.

Parreira said though the two games were not good enough, they will give him an idea of which players to use in Ghana.

"My task is to find the best possible combination from our two friendlies. I am not expecting best performances in either of them, but I want a 100 percent dedication in Ghana, and looking at the players' condition, I think we will compete," he said.

The upbeat Parreira said they were likely to use a 4-4-2 system, with two defenders overlapping and assisting the midfielders.

Bafana Bafana must brace themselves for a tough game from Mozambique, who like Botswana, are preparing themselves for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

Left-footed defender, Tsepo Masilela, who is likely to play ahead of Brett Evans, said they were expecting a bruising match from Mozambique.

The Israel-based Masilela was confident that South Africa will beat Mozambique, adding that their plan was to do well in Ghana.

New Bafana Bafana recruit Tumelo "Big Six" Nhlapo, said: "I have enjoyed my stay, so far so good. We are ready for Mozambique.

"It will be great to get a run."

However, Mozambique Football Association deputy secretary general Sidio Mugadza warned Bafana Bafana not to expect an easy game.

"We also have pride to play for and we'll spoil the farewell celebrations if Bafana Bafana think we are coming to Durban on holiday."

The Black Mambas, who have four South African-based players, will leave for Durban by road from the capital Maputo today.

Those based in South Africa are Elias Pelembe, Carlos Chimomole (both SuperSport United), Almiro Lobo (BidVest Wits) and Helder Muianga (Jomo Cosmos).

Sipho Nkumane, Bafana Bafana manager, said tickets for the game were available at Computicket outlets at R20 a person. Kickoff is at 4pm.

On their Afcon preparations, Parreira said he was happy with the enthusiasm displayed by the players since they assembled in Durban on Monday.

Bafana's possible line-up: Goalkeeper: Rowen Fernandez

Defenders: Bryce Moon, Tsepo Masilela, Nasief Morris and Aaron Mokoena

Midfielders: Teko Modise, Benson Mhlongo, Steven Pienaar, Surprise Moriri.

Strikers: Sibusiso Zuma and Katlego Mphela.
