The 42-year-old domestic worker who allegedly abducted a Cape Town toddler last week appeared briefly in the Bishop Lavis magistrate's court yesterday.
The case was postponed to Friday for a bail application. The woman, Nokubona Jack, gave herself up to police in Langa on Saturday, and two-year-old Owam Ngqengqa was reunited with his mother unharmed.
According to police, Ngqengqa's mother left him in Jack's care when she went to work on Wednesday morning.
When she returned home, at the N2 Gateway project in Langa, the boy and the domestic worker were gone. - Sapa
