While they have succeeded in getting their league off the ground, the executive committee of Bojanala Softball's biggest challenge has been securing sponsorship.
The league, established in March last year, went from strength to strength, attracting 12 affiliates from Tshwane, Mpumalanga and one in Rustenburg. But they have had to pass on opportunities to take part in tournaments, because of lack of financial backing
Public Relations Officer, Precious Selomane, said. "We have received promising feedback after approaching several organisations and we are close to finalising the deal soon.".
Meanwhile, both Sassu's men and womens' teams will assemble for a training camp in preparation for the the National Provincial Championships, which will be held in Cape Town in March.
All provinces will be represented at the event, which is organised by Softball South Africa.
