Top Soweto socialite lived life to the full

Soweto businessman Gordon Dumisane "Makwaito" Bomvana of Orlando West has died.

He was born on February 2 1957.

Bomvana started school at Mzamo Lower Primary School and went on to Thulasizwe and later Orlando West high schools.

He was one of the top socialites in Soweto, which earned him the nickname "Makwaito" from his close friends. He was the owner of Aart Printers in Phefeni. A very neat and smart dresser, Bomvana loved flashy cars but was also respected in the community because of his gentlemanly and polite manner and approach to people.

Though he was a man-about-town, he loved his family.

He will always be remembered for his smile and caring for others.

The service for his funeral will be held at his home at 7532 Maseko Street, Orlando West, at 8am.

He will be buried at Avalon Cemetery tomorrow at 10am.

He is survived by his family.
