God's name has been abused by churches before and the council (SACC) said nothing. Remember, no one holds monopoly over God.
Despite the institutional set-ups that the SACC or any individual or group churches may make, these are not the only way to interact with God. Did God not bypass the Pharisees and Sadducees as well as the religious-political Sanhendrin and chose the unknown Mary and Joseph to bring Jesus Christ into the world?
The SACC must re-read the Bible and note that when Jesus Christ died, the veil was torn into two, symbolising that no human being would ever become an intercessor to God and that anyone can approach God directly.
The Bible teaches: do not judge so that you will not be judged. The SACC has violated Christ's teachings by looking for the "speck in the brother's eye" when a log blurs their own vision.
Appraise the role of the church and the SACC. Churches that belong to the SACC disagree on matters of faith or rituals, so do those that are not members.
