While the two coaches looked at the result differently, the supporters will surely agree that the game was full value for their money.

Though neither Moroka Swallows nor AmaZulu deserved to lose this Absa Premiership encounter, there was justification for the Dube Birds managing to edge it 3-2 at the final whistle.

This thrill-a-minute clash was played out at Germiston Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

AmaZulu coach Clive "The Dog" Barker believes his players gave as good as they got, but is full of praise for Swallows and says they deserved to win.

Birds mentor Ian Gorowa , while happy with the three points, thought otherwise.

"It is always great to get the three points but I thought we conceded two stupid goals in the process." Gorowa says. "We have to correct that."

But for Sipho Xulu, Swallows' spokesman, the whole exercise was part of "Operation bite-a-little" (Sizakancane) which has seen the team fron the Dube aviary climb steadily up the league log.

The game also saw current goal sensation James "King Goals" Chamanga netting his 10th of the season as he continues his remarkable form.

Chamanga's goal in the 21st minute was significant as it gave Swallows a 2-1 lead three minutes after Siyabonga Mkhwanazi had levelled matters from a Sillo Jan free kick.

Mkhwanazi's leveller gave hope to the AmaZulu faithfull, who had watched in disbelief when Tsweu Mokoro shot the Birds into a 1-0 lead as early as the fourth minute after some brilliant work from Goodman Mazibuko and Sandile Ndlovu had set him up.

Both goals were taken with such accuracy and confidence that Lawrence Ncala in the Usuthu goalposts could do nothing about them.

Mkhwanazi kept Swallows in check on the goalscoring front by again levelling matters on 56 minutes to make it 2-2.

James Mayinga, who was partly to blame for letting Mkhwanazi through for the equaliser, stole one in a goalmouth melee to grab the winner.
