It is disturbing that taxi owners throughout the country live in fear after daily attacks have left scores dead.

This week three taxi bosses and a driver were gunned down in Jane Furse, Limpopo, Germiston and Johannesburg.

More than 20 people have been killed this year over routes in Johannesburg.

Horrifying, though, are claims of a hit-list of people to be killed before Christmas.

This is shocking.

The police must move swiftly to avert a bloodbath.

And disgruntled taxi operators must use existing resolution structures.
