Prominent Limpopo communicator Clyson "TC" Monyela has landed a lucrative position as a presenter at Capricorn FM, a Limpopo-based commercial radio station.

Monyela, 33, who is currently chief director of communications in the provincial department of local government and housing, joined Capricorn FM last week.

Monyela hosts the romantic and vivacious TC on Sunday programme, which deals with soothing the hearts of those in troubled relationships.

The programme addresses romantic issues for adults and teenagers alike.

Between intervals, Monyela plays soft sounds for lovers.

Each Sunday from 3pm to 6pm, Monyela gets behind the microphone and spins the romantic discs.

The programme also offers couples or individuals a platform to share with other listeners the highs and lows they have experienced during the week.

The programme also offers tips for lovers whose relationships are in a crisis.

Born at Sekororo near Tzaneen in 1974, Monyela rose through the media industry within a short space of time.

Monyela was part of the team that included Given Mkhari, Simphiwe Mdlalose and Kwena Moabelo that established the first campus/community radio station at the then University of the North.

After graduating in 1998, Monyela joined e.tv.

In 2001, he joined the SABC as a senior journalist.

While with the SABC, he freelanced for various stations that included SAFM, Metro FM and Thobela FM.

Monyela left the SABC in 2005 to join the ministry of public service and administration as head of media services.

"Whatever I do I try to make a difference in people's lives through talking," he said.
