Gamondi, who assisted Angel Cappa at Sundowns, will replace co-coaches Thierry Mulonzo and Allan Freese at Stars, Sowetan was yesterday informed.
A source said the two coaches will be retained by the club for other positions. This comes in the backround of Stars being reported to have been negotiating with another former Sundowns assistant coach Neil Tovey.
