North West province has become synonymous with excellence in government communications.

Charles Raseala, director of communications at the department of education, has scooped the Provincial Bua Award during the Government Communicators' Awards held in Midrand at the weekend.

The Bua Award category recognises media liaison officers, departmental spokesmen and individual communicators who display courage, commitment, dedication and discipline in their work. The award is for communicators who at all times go the extra mile to get the job done.
