ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma's presidency of the country could be good for business, say a group of black business leaders.
Zuma recently met them to discuss how he would run the country if he succeeds Mbeki in 2009.
Zuma is leading the ANC presidential race by a wide margin that has led to expectations that he would be elected the party's president and eventually that of the country.
Chairman of Zungu Investments Corporation, Sandile Zungu, is one of the 72 black business people Zuma met recently. He is convinced that Zuma's presidency would have a positive effect on the economy.
"After the discussions we are convinced that his presidency will augur well for the country."
Zungu argued that because of Zuma's humility and ability to listen he would allow those with the expertise to run the country effectively.
