I am not familiar with how airports work and their security measures, but the news that a large consignment of weapons was confiscated at the OR Tambo International Airport recently was shocking.

There is a serious threat to a nation if airports don't even know what is being brought into the country. How is it that the carrier of these weapons landed without being registered on the airport's systems?

South Africa is held hostage by serious crimes and yet the airport receives dangerous weapons without caring who brought them in.
