Orlando Pirates plan to present The Ghost, their supporters, with a memorable Christmas gift by winning the year's last four remaining Absa Premiership games.
Speaking at a training session yesterday, coach Owen "Rubberdoll" da Gama said they were eyeing a top eight finish before breaking for the holidays.
The four remaining matches for the fourth-placed Bucs will be against Ajax Cape Town (home), Platinum Stars (away), Free State Stars (home) and AmaZulu (away).
Amabhakabhaka's campaign to make a clean sweep in the four games begins on Saturday when they welcome log leaders Ajax at Johannesburg Stadium (3.30pm).
"The chairman [Irvin Khoza] has been fantastic to me, his mandate was to make sure to put the club at a respectable position," said Da Gama.
"I don't know what it meant, but we all know that Pirates are a big brand and have to do well. For me, the plan is to end 2008 well inside the top eight bracket."
Talking about Saturday's eagerly-awaited clash, Da Gama said: "Ajax are a youthful club, they have done well with only one loss [in the league].
"Saturday's game will be a big test for us, it will give us an idea if we are well on track in our quest to do well this season."
