The Gospel Fire Evangelists Ministries held a week-long conference in De Deur, Vaal, with the theme "Your season has come".
The service was hosted by Pastor TA Ralekholela, who said: "When the spirit of the Lord has come, even the sky can never be the limit. Many people think of themselves as job seekers instead of being job creators," said Ralekholela.
Pastor Agrippa Khathide, who shared the podium, emphasised the importance of the church's help in creating jobs.
Khathide said God did not create humans to become beggars, hewers of wood and drawers of water. Neither were we supposed to be doom servants.
"We must stop being beggars and become employers and that needs only your CV, after that re a rapela (we all pray)," said Khathide.
He said the church had been around for about 2000 years and had impacted on people.
He said the church should also lead the fight against HIV-Aids because "people are dying and we should leave a legacy behind. Each time a person has died we claim that he or she was a hero or heroine even though the person has done nothing. God does not want you to die because you are made of championship material".
