The Edgars Music Series Show is closing its entertainment calendar in style with a concert on December 7.

The event, boasting an exciting line-up, will take place at Bassline, Newtown, Joburg.

The concept was initiated by Edgars and Bassline three years ago, and has given a lot of artists a platform and a chance to launch their careers.

The line-up includes newcomer Gumshev, who will be given a chance to share the stage with established artists like Zola, Tuks, Jozi and Brickz. Other artists are Zonke and DJ Cleo, who will be spinning the discs.

Zola, aka Guluva, will be returning on stage to entertain music lovers. Though Tuks Senganga was not nominated for the South African Music Awards this year, he remains one of the country's best rappers.

Tuks will be performing some of his famous tracks from his latest album at the show.

Sudesh Bhageloo, marketing manager in the communication services at Edgars, told said the concept had achieved a lot in its three years.

"We are very proud of what the Edgars Music Series Show have achieved over the past years.

"The combination of up-and-coming new acts and well-established stars gives this show a unique edge and places Edgars at the cutting edge of local music sponsorship. This show in particular is our way of showing appreciation to the fans that have been turning out to come and see the concert since its inception. We are also giving back to the artists with a huge year-end party."

The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost R50.
