Hidden agendas in ANC voting

When the subject of who should be the next president of our country and that of the ANC is discussed, I was under the impression that Cyril Ramaphosa would be the man.

When the subject of who should be the next president of our country and that of the ANC is discussed, I was under the impression that Cyril Ramaphosa would be the man.

The current race between Jacob Zuma and President Thabo Mbeki is not about who is more suitable to be the next president. It is about the agendas the two men have against each other, and the agendas of certain powerful individuals within each province, the ANC Youth League, Cosatu and the Women's League.

Emotions ruled every province when voting took place. People voted because they hated the other leader.

The Mbeki camp voted because they did not want Zuma. Theywanted to teach Zuma and hi supporters a lesson. So did the Zuma camp. Mbeki should not be running. He should have given the opportunity to Ramaphosa to challenge Zuma or anyone else in the running.

Maybe, Zuma should not be running for the sake of peace and unity. Maybe, it is not the right time for him to run seeing that he might still be charged.

Mbeki should make way and save face because this is going to be ugly. Zuma should make way if he has the interests of the country at heart. The ANC delegates to Limpopo have a duty to protect our country. They must vote for justice and what is good for our country.
