Laugh and also make children happy

Want to have a good laugh and contribute to a very good cause at the same time?

Then come to the Just Because Comedy Festival - initiated by some of the most celebrated comedians in the country - at the Market Theatre in Newtown, Johannesburg from December 11 to December 14.

All profits will be donated to Childline, so you will bring a smile and happiness to children.

The festival is an extravaganza of stand-up comedy by comedians of varying backgrounds, experience, styles and techniques.

John Vlismas, Loyiso Gola, Colin Moss, Joey Rasdien, Darren Maule, Kagiso Lediga and Trevor Noah are just some of the comedians who will prescribe the best medicine.

Each show will have performances by eight comedians. Each comedian will be allocated a specific amount of time. The comedians will later be split into two teams and the teams will compete against each other. The audience will get to decide who the winning team is.

This unusual dimension to the festival will add great fun, and definitely more laughter, to the funny event.

All shows will start promptly at 8pm. Tickets cost R40 on Tuesday, December 11, and R100 on the rest of the evenings.
