It comes as no surprise to see that the winner of this year's Big Brother Africa, Richard Bezuidenhout, is an adulterous man.
I cringed while watching the finale on Sunday night, which happened to be the only time I watched the programme, to see him collecting his ill-gotten $100000 prize.
I am baffled to understand how someone who openly cheated on his wife on national television can be rewarded and idolised in this way.
It is a very sorry message this programme's result has sent out to viewers all over the African continent, especially in the winner's home country of Tanzania, with the HIV-Aids pandemic so prominent.
