Prince Harry has been spotted drowning his sorrows after splitting up with his girlfriend of three years, Chelsy Davy.

The British royal hit upmarket West London nightspot Amika at the weekend just hours after breaking up with his 22-year-old Zimbabwe-born girlfriend.

Reports are he was in no mood for sober contemplation, racking up a bill of R25000 on champagne and vodka with friends.

A source at the club claimed, "They wasted no time getting stuck in, pouring tumblers full of vodka and handing out champagne to party-goers.

"One stunning brunette came over to talk to Harry at about midnight and they chatted for a while."

The royal party reportedly downed 30 shots of vodka and started on the champagne at 1am before Harry was led out swaying at 2am.

Chelsy and Harry's split comes months after his older brother William split with his long-term girlfriend Kate Middleton, though the couple have since reportedly rekindled their romance. - Wenn
