A winning nation is a nation that holds citizens that positively contribute to the country in high esteem.

Sentiments for which the Tribute To SA Music Heroes Concert 2007 have become known.

One of the hip shindigs is taking place on Sunday, December 2, at Moretele Park, in Pretoria.

Set to add to the fanfare of the highly anticipated day are Hugh Masekela, Caiphus Semenya, Letta Mbulu, Jonas Gwangwa, Don Laka, Jimmy Dludlu, Bhudaza, Ringo Madlingozi, Judith Sephuma, Vusi Mahlasela, Ntando, Mafikizolo, Malaika, Siphokazi, Richy Ramolefe, Mathapelo, Heritage School of Music and Carf.

Ten years into conferring the only tribute by promoters Drakensberg Promotions' concert-inspired initiative has bestowed the same honour on icons such as Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Elliot Makhaya and Yvonne Chaka Chaka among others.

Fans who were disappointed at the postponement from August 29, the traditional time the show is hosted, will be happy to learn that the venue has undergone changes.

"We can guarantee that fans will have more fun in spacious surroundings with ample parking space. We want our patrons to relax, have a great time and know that their cars are also safe," says Leonard Sithole of Drakensberg Promotions. He says the nightmare of entering the venue at a snail's pace is a thing of the past.

The 10th anniversary celebration is dedicated to the local music lover.

"Tribute 2007 says thank you for the loyal support over the past decade and recognises the fact that the millions of music lovers are the most important contributing factor to the phenomenal growth of the event since 1998," says Sithole's partner and friend, Sam Mhangwani.

Gates open at 9am.
