Chiefs face November trial

November is undoubtedly one of the toughest months for Kaizer Chiefs this season.

Their their title aspirations will be tested when they come up against the four strongest teams in the league in quick succession.

Their opener will be their Absa Premiership game against Moroka Swallows who they host at the Kings Park Rugby Stadium tomorrow.

It will be followed the Telkom Knockout clash against Bloemfontein Celtic and league matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Chiefs' communications director Thebe "Selepe" Mohatle said Chiefs were going to prove that they were not a fly-by-night team.

"We're aware that we're meeting one of the toughest customers in Swallows. They are a different lot this year and are playing good football. But we're taking them away from the madding crowd to the coast where we'll plug their wings in silence," said Mohatle.

"Our boys are playing one of the most exciting brands of football lately. The team is gradually coming together, playing as a unit, the guys know what is expected of them.

"We're looking at perfecting our game in the process hoping that soon we'll be one of the best outfits in the elite league."

Mohatle added that the players have rediscovered their scoring boots and they have started winning games.

"But we're not happy to find ourselves where we are at the moment - in 10th spot. That position is unhealthy for Chiefs. We're going to move up the league ladder at the expense of Swallows."

Tickets are available at Computicket outlets at R20 for adults and R10 for juveniles.

l In another encounter Santos host Mamelodi Sundowns at Athlone tomorrow.

l Jomo Cosmos meet Orlando Pirates at Loftus.

All three matches kick off at 7.30pm.
