Queen Elizabeth II has been named one of the world's most glamorous women by fashion bible, Vogue .
British Vogue's December issue includes the 81-year-old monarch on its 50-name "Definitive List of Today's Glamorous Women," calling her "as glamorous in her brogues and headscarf in Balmoral as she is wearing the crown jewels".
The queen favours conservative, but often brightly coloured ensembles, accessorised with sensible shoes and handbags.
Vogue said glamour "is about how you wear something, not about what you wear. You can't buy glamour, and you can't fake it."
The list includes Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and actress Helen Mirren, who played the British monarch in Oscar-winning film "The Queen". - Sapa-AP
