I read the story about defective condoms, Sowetan, October 23, bearing code 6809/MED/ and produced by Kohrs Medical.
I also heard about it on the radio. I fail to understand the purpose the news will serve if the condoms are not identified by name to protect millions of our people from fatal consequences.
When people buy or access free condoms, they do so looking at the name, not the code. Please let the names of those condoms be published because the code alone is not and will never be sufficient.
Think of the people in the remote rural areas of this country. They may not know how to look for the code.
