Acclaimed television and stage actress, Keketso Semoko is on cloud nine after pipping Mara Louw and Michelle Botes for the best soapie actress at the South African Film and Television Awards.

Semoko, the star of Isidingo, deservedly took the trophy home at the Saftas held in Midrand this weekend.

Still thrilled by the recognition, Semoko said yesterday she felt honoured to win the award.

"It feels good to be recognised among all the talented actors in South Africa. I tell stories and awards come as a bonus. I don't act to get awards," she said.

Semoko also finds time to be a producer and writer on the Ulwazi Educational Radio Project.
