Forbidden fish

Cabinet has approved a total ban on the commercial fishing of wild abalone, or perlemoen, from November 1, it was announced yesterday. The Department of Labour and the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism have developed a social plan to help the affected fishing communities.
