Jabulani Mall is one year old.
A fantastic weekend looms for Sowetans and other shoppers as the mall celebrates its first anniversary.
The mall, which has become a hot shopping and meeting spot in Soweto, opened its doors last October.
It brought a lot of upmarket and medium brands closer to the township. It also introduced a new lifestyle for Sowetans who no longer had to travel to the Johannesburg CBD to shop and be entertained.
Lindi Dlamini, the mall's marketing manager, said: "We are going with local musicians, all Sowetans, because this is a show by Sowetans for Sowetans. After all, local is lekker."
The mall has laid out a fantastic programme for shoppers. Artists Chomee, Zombo, DJ Mgedeza, Nestum, Sgonondo and Pantsula will raise the roof with their exciting dance moves and vibrant tunes.
Chomee, who performs in skimpy, sexy outfits, is from Arthur Mafokate's studio. Her popular song Jiva Sexy, is still very popular.
Zombo is also from Mafokate's label. He was formerly with the band, Abashante.
Nestum, who once presented the children's television show Jam Alley, is another firm favourite.
There's a kiddies programme from 11am to 2.30pm and "fantabulous" prizes for shoppers.
