The family of a 92-year-old Limpopo granny who died on January 27 will have to pay the undertaker more than R60000 before her body is released for the long-overdue burial.

Gogo Mukumela Tshivhula was finally supposed to be buried tomorrow.

But Sam Ntshauba, owner of Nzhelele Funeral Undertakers, told Sowetan yesterday the family owed him R38850 for storage costs for 259 days, R16900 for a casket and R10840 for a tombstone.

"The family never approached me to discuss payment," he said.
