Representatives of Fifa, the 2010 World Cup Local Organising Committee and soccer journalists will meet during a panel discussion in Durban tomorrow.

"We will deal with the overall 2010 World Cup project and the preliminary draw," said Tim Modise, the LOC's media and marketing director.

"It will be attended by the working media. We have been interacting with Fifa, various sections as part of the preparations for the World Cup."

The workshop will come a day after the Fifa delegation has inspected all the Durban facilities that will be used for the World Cup.

"We are satisfied that all the preparations for the preliminary draw in Durban and the tournament itself are well on track," added Modise.

There will also be a host city and marketing forum, chaired by Minister of Local Government and Provincial Affairs Sydney Mufamadi.

l KwaZulu-Natal government and the Ethekwini Municipality hope to get the game between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs played in Durban on November 24.

Reports from Durban are that the two government structures want the game to be part of the preliminary draw festivities.

The match is scheduled for Ellis Park Stadium on the same day. Representatives of the provincial government and municipality could not be reached for comment regarding their offer to Pirates, who will host the game.
