A watch seized from former US football star OJ Simpson to help settle a civil judgment has been exposed as a fake.
Simpson was ordered to relinquish his Rolex watch to satisfy a multi-million dollar civil suit that found him liable for the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman.
But it was revealed it was a knock-off bought from China, worth R684.
Goldman's family lawyer, David Cook, said: "While we are clearly disappointed with the outcome, this tells us that collecting on this judgment against this guy, is really tough."
Fred Goldman recently won the rights to Simpson's book, If I Did It. - Wenn
