Superstar Enrique Iglesias, pictured, is definitely coming to perform in South Africa.

The highly awaited Enrique Iglesias Live In SA! takes to the stage at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg on October 21 and Grand West's Grand Arena in Cape Town on October 25.

Iglesias will perform all his great tunes from his extensive and multi-award winning repertoire.

While other singers have fallen by the way side, the talented Iglesias has bagged two Grammy's, five World Music and three American Music Awards - and world popularity.

He has sold more than 40million albums in a little more than a decade, becoming one of the most successful singers in the history of popular music.

Iglesias is renowned for his charismatic live performances and for his ability to establish a rapport with his fans, keeping them on their feet from the first song to last. More than 40000 fans had that experience during his 2004 South African tour.

Since Iglesias burst on to the music scene in 1996 with his Grammy-winning, eponymous debut album, fans have made him one of the hottest selling artists in the world.

His second album, Vivir secured him Artist of the Year and Album of the Year awards and launched a highly successful tour, with sold-out shows in 16 countries.

Within three years, Iglesius was the biggest-selling Spanish-language singer in the world, with more Billboard Latin hits than any other artist in history.

Enrique, his first English album, was released in 1999 and it included the mega-hits Bailamos, Rhythm Divine and Could I Have This Kiss Forever.

Escape followed, cementing Enrique's superstar status with both the album and the single simultaneously holding the Number 1 spot.

The multiplatinum selling Quizas and Iglesius's aptly titled seventh album, 7, featuring the dance hit Addicted followed, setting the stage for Insomnia, the latest and most ambitious project of Iglesias' phenomenal career.

Do You Know, the album's lead single, is currently climbing the local music charts and dominating the South African airwaves.

Primedia's group music programme manager, Ravi Naidoo says: "Enrique is one of the most successful contemporary pop artists in the last five years.

His appeal crosses both the youth and adult markets, and is a core artist at both 94.7 Highveld Stereo and 94.5 Kfm.

"Enrique has featured consistently and highly on both stations' play lists.

"That's why we're very excited to be bringing this international superstar to South Africa," Naidoo says.

Tickets cost R250 each and you can get yours from Computicket.
