NAMPULA - The Mozambican government has said it would evict more than 5000 illegal immigrants in the northern provincial capital of Nampula.

The weeklyMagazine Independent Newspaper reported that authorities made the threats at a recent meeting in Nampula.

The undocumented foreigners in Mavuco region, were mostly from the Great Lakes region and had reached Mozambique through Malawi. - Sapa
