Talks between protesting Wits University students and management will continue, vice-chancellor and principal Loyiso Nongxa said yesterday.
"Negotiations between students and management will continue today until a compromise is reached," he said.
Nongxa said there had been no breakdown in communication between the protesters and management as it had been rumoured.
He said while the students' demands were being reviewed, whether they would be met was another issue.
Students are demanding a 0percent fee increase for next year.
Nongxa said this would hamper the university's ability to maintain international standards. - Sapa
